Seldovia’s Last Day of 2011

I hope you’ll enjoy my walk about town today – especially through our small boat harbor, which is covered in snow, and ice! It is a cold, cold day at 5 degrees – unusually cold for Seldovia! We were blessed with beautiful sun for the short day – and looking forward to fireworks tonight! See you all there!

“The Kilcher family settled in an isolated community outside of Homer, Alaska 80 years ago, seeking a more free and simple way of life. They live completely off the grid, with no running water and no electricity – and are proud of it.” – Discovery Channel
Tonight at 6:00pm and 8:00pm Alaska time, on the Discovery Channel – Check out this new reality show about life on a homestead right outside of Homer on the Kenai Peninsula! This reality show is gaining even more attention, as it is about Jewel’s (singer/songwriter) family – Yule Kilcher is her grandfather! This will be another show that is close to home for us who live and love the Kachemak Bay area!

- WEEK – Shows the current week, highlighting again the current day, so you can see where you are in the full schedule of events, from the early morning to the late evening!
- AGENDA – My favorite, as it just outlines each event in order – by the date.
Each of the pages operate in the same way, as every event is clickable, and in some cases will lead you to other web sites for more information or details. Please assist with keeping the calendar current by emailing Laurel with your information and details. (There is a direct link to her email at the bottom of each calendar view – so it is super easy!) You may submit information at any time, as she will enter as things come in, and she will be doing monthly updates!
