7:00 am Registration for Salmon Shuffle at harbormaster’s building
7:00 am Library Book Sale! 7am-2pm in the multipurpose building parking
lot at the library entrance (or just inside in case of rain).
7:00am Pancake Breakfast in the multi-purpose room; serving til 11:00
9:00 am Salmon Shuffle 5 k Run begins at the harbor
10:00am Arts and Craft Fair opens
10:30am Parade lines up at the gas station
10:30am Food Booths open across from the Visitor Center & Fire Hall
11:00am Fourth of July Parade begins on Main Street
11:00am Grandstand; Flag Raising, Parade Prizes, Outstanding Youth,
Citizen and Organization of the Year, plus the Old Crab award and
auction and Dr Larry Appreciation Day
12:30pm Kids’ Games: Sawdust Pile Money Hunt, Play area for toddlers,
Booth games; Win prizes
1:00pm Hula Hoop Contest in front of the Boardwalk Hotel
1:30pm Sourdough Games, for Big Kids and Adults on Main Street
2:00pm Rubber Duckie Race View from the launching ramp
3:00pm Log Rolling and Canoe Jousting at the launching ramp
5:00pm Potluck & Cook-off at Outside Beach! Prizes for Best Salmon & Pie.
9:00 – 12 Music by ????????????? at the Linwood Bar and Grill

What do you get when you cross a flat picker, a former Klingon, part of a roller coaster, and a shrew tamer??? Why, you get Seldovia Arts Council’s, walloping 2012 Seldovia Summer Solstice Music Festival.

Seldovia Celebrates its Graduates!

One of the special features of going to school on a small K-12 campus is that the graduation ceremony at Susan B English School consisted of students ranging from ages 4 to 18!
We had two little ones graduating from Head Start – who will be going into Kindergarten next year, Lars Dickson and Hannah Winters, who shyly shuffled across the stage to receive their diplomas and coyly pose for the photo-op at the top of the stairs. Continue Reading
