Editors note:  Suzie is always caring for, watering, and keeping up with the beautification of our local gardens.  This garden is one of her favorites, and needed all kinds of repairs to the rock wall!  This “before” photo, was taken by Bruce Martin.  You can see – thanks to Suzie and these generous volunteers – it is a major improvement!

First time visitors to Alaska Bruce and Mickey Martin, Emily and Greg Griffith, Ruth Kruger, and Janette Pennell were pleased to assist Suzie with the rebuilding of a portion of the stone enclosed garden along Main Street.

The group is visiting Seldovia from June 22 -27 to host a vacation Bible school event sponsored by Faith Lutheran of Homer.  Children are welcome to come to the Seldovia Bible Chapel from 1:30-4:00 through the week.

The group hails from Klein, Texas- a suburb of Houston, Texas. They are enjoying the summer weather and hope to return annually.  Suzie would like to thank Jim Hopkins for donating the larger rocks on the back side of the garden.  Come by and see how great it looks and how wonderful it will be looking for the 4th of July!
