Crazy Crow Productions – Hope and Adam from Nashville

by Susan Mumma
hope-2I have several great performers lined up for this summer and hope you will take advantage of their fine performances in an intimate setting.   This is a labor of love for me to bring these folks to Seldovia. I really do love making shows happen in this way so that you all can get to know some lovely people as they pass through this way.  These concerts make it possible for them to come to Seldovia.

My next performing group  is A.L.A, a sweet singer, Hope Cassity and her fiddler accompanist, Adam Stewart both from Nashville, Tennessee.  They will perform on a Tuesday night, July 1 at 7:30 here at the Seldovia Rowing Club on the Old Boardwalk.  Come, listen, have some dessert and enjoy with us.  It is rare to get to hear such talent in such an intimate setting.  All are welcome so bring a bring a friend. Bring a date!
You can read more about Hope and Adam on their page at www.crazycrowproductions.wordpress.com.
You can also read about this summer’s other great performers:
John Craige and Leigh Jones from Portland July 19
Kray Van Kirk from Juneau August 9
Please give me a call 234-7614 or an email to reserve your spot.

Main Street Garden is Lookin’ Good!

| June 26, 2014 | 0 Comments

by Suzie Stranik

Editors note:  Suzie is always caring for, watering, and keeping up with the beautification of our local gardens.  This garden is one of her favorites, and needed all kinds of repairs to the rock wall!  This “before” photo, was taken by Bruce Martin.  You can see – thanks to Suzie and these generous volunteers – it is a major improvement!

Main Street Garden wall before work was done

First time visitors to Alaska Bruce and Mickey Martin, Emily and Greg Griffith, Ruth Kruger, and Janette Pennell were pleased to assist Suzie with the rebuilding of a portion of the stone enclosed garden along Main Street.

The group is visiting Seldovia from June 22 -27 to host a vacation Bible school event sponsored by Faith Lutheran of Homer.  Children are welcome to come to the Seldovia Bible Chapel from 1:30-4:00 through the week.

The group hails from Klein, Texas- a suburb of Houston, Texas. They are enjoying the summer weather and hope to return annually.  Suzie would like to thank Jim Hopkins for donating the larger rocks on the back side of the garden.  Come by and see how great it looks and how wonderful it will be looking for the 4th of July!
