City Snow Removal Map and Policy

Winter is here…. it’s a good time to reshare our current snow removal map and policy.

A few great reminders related to snow maintenance in Seldovia:

Parking on streets prohibited Nov 1- April 30 between 4:00am and 4:00pm with an accumulation of 4 inches of snow or more.

Regular hours for City Public Works are Monday-Friday 8:00am- 5:00pm. Snow removal and maintenance is a priority and overtime is authorized through the budget in the event of a heavy accumulation. If it can wait until morning it will wait, out of respect for the crew and budget, but public safety comes first so if you see the crew out working in the evening, night, early morning, or weekend make sure to send them a big thank you once it is done.
