Miss Montgomery and Miss Smith wanted families to know they will be here the month of June from 12:00 noon to 3:00 pm to assist students in completing last year’s (2011-12) work.  Please view your child’s “Educate” account to see standards completed and those that need to be completed to move into the next level or known as “grade” if our school was not Performance Based.  There may be a couple days that Miss Montgomery will be away in June and will let the students who are attending know.  Students are welcome to come as they so desire.

This is the 7th Annual Chainsaw event in Seldovia!  We are blessed to have over 35 masterpieces about town for our community’s enjoyment!  Many folks have made trips specifically to Seldovia to visit these creative works of art!  Seldovia has become an “Outdoor museum” of sorts – with no admission – just the effort of getting across the bay.

You may Click Here or click on the poster at the top left to see “Where they are now?”  which shows you the locations of all the carvings created in Seldovia since 2006.

This year, we are doing something a little bit different.

Every year, up until now, the Seldovia Chamber of Commerce had an agreement to retain the masterpiece carvings here in the city of Seldovia.  Only Continue Reading

Thanks to Kris Lethin – our web cam technical support guy/computer guru – our Webcam for the Seldovia Airport is back on line!  The problem was a heavy snow load that fell off the roof and severed the line and pulled apart connections – so Kris had to troubleshoot , splice and replace the line!  Thanks again Kris, I really appreciate you!  So do all the folks/pilots who check out the condition of the Seldovia airport before flying over!  Thanks too, to George – who keeps our airport in great condition.  We have an awesome reputation for a very well maintained and safe airstrip!   Run way is clear – come on over to Seldovia!!
